Reliant Energy Torch Relay visits the Alamo

The Alamo, one of the most historic monuments in Texas, was the third stop for the Reliant Energy Torch Relay. The relay began in the main plaza of the historic San Fernando Cathedral, traveled along the Riverwalk, and finished in front of the Alamo. Ceremony speakers included: Cathy Pottorf, former Texas Senior Games Association President and current board member and Wayne McGarity, former Texas Longhorn and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver.

Adolph Hoffman, 88 years old, carried the torch last through the plaza to the Riverwalk. Hoffman is entered in 11 different competitions.
